BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ANTIOX-Ο[Υ] Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to inner left, facing bust of Helios; in exergue, monogram. SC 1505.3. Very rare. Some marks, otherwise, very fine.


The very unusual reverse symbol - a facing bust of Helios - is likely derived from the Babylonian tetradrachms of Alexander 'the Great' and Philip III.
